The official engagement photos have been released!  Cancel your own Christmas cards and plan on sending out photos of Prince William and Catherine Middleton instead. 

People.com showed viewers two of the photos, shot by famed photographer Mario Testino.  In the more formal photo, taken in the Council Chamber connected to Clarence House (the official residence of Prince Charles), the prince wore a Turnbull and Asser suit, and Middelton wore a white Reiss dress and Links earrings.  For the casual photo, taken in the Cornwall room of St. James’s Palace, Prince William wore a Turnbull and Asser shirt under a Brunello Cucinelli sweater while Middleton wore a Whistles blouse.  No doubt Testino told Middleton to show off that sparkler in the casual-cuteness shot.

Ga’bless royalty.  So glam.  So unattainable.
