Gwyneth Paltrow took to the stage with her acoustic guitar last night at the 2010 CMA Awards.  She perform the featured single from her upcoming film, Country Strong (out January 7th).  In my humble opinion, I thought Paltrow was fantastic.  Good voice, good relationship with the guitar.  Overall great.  Paltrow didn’t necessarily get the crowd jazzed, but it wasn’t that kind of performance.  I think people (fans, critics) were just hoping she’d get through the song without any major snags.  And she did.  Paltrow’s voice, while not strong and powerful, was beautiful and steady.  It didn’t hurt that she had Vince Gill alongside to catch her if she should fall.  Those country men.  Such heroes.
