I watched the latest episode of Gossip Girl last night and it felt like a chore. If it takes effort for me to concentrate on a program, I change the channel. Why waste your time on bad tv when there is so much great “bad” tv? I’d take 6 episodes of RuPaul’s Drag Race over one episode of GG any day.
The plot lines aren’t moving like they used to. No more catty high school antics. Just 19-year-olds playing dress up (or dress down, if your name is Serena) and having sex in their friend’s kitchen (that seems like a 19-year-old thing to do). But if their friend’s kitchen is in the hotel that said friend owns, well, that just confuses everyone.
Dan and Vanessa finally have sex. Awesome.
Jenny and that weird kid play with drugs. Ah, New York.
There’s no OMFG left in GG. The show has become a shadow of its former self. I can’t pinpoint exactly what is missing, but something is. Something big. Even the storyline with Chuck’s mother was a snooze fest. You didn’t want him, so Bart Bass told your son you were dead. Come on, people. We can do better than this. You are Gossip Girl. Show your teeth.
Maybe it’s Blair. Blair has lost her spunk and her spine. Damn you, Chuck Bass!
Serena is a bad actress.

watched this last night and couldn't agree more. Once they sent them to college it just effed up the show. 90210 still worked somewhat in college, but GG does not. Why the ef would Blair care about what the girls in the dorms think of her?
Once that happened the show was ruined.
