Showbizzle’s Hollywood Challenge

image via showbizzle.com

Attention college inprov teams (this means you, Boston College):

Showbizzle, a web series and platform for Hollywood’s emerging talent, is giving a college improv group the opportunity to showcase their acting chops.  Also on-board is CIF Productions, a not-for-profit arts organization whose programs include the Chicago Improv Festival and the National Improv Tournament. Welcome to the first ever Hollywood Challenge.

Here’s whatcha need to do:  Put together a three-part video (ten minutes total running time) about Hollywood invading your campus.  Play any type of character you want (a starstruck college-kid, a Valley airhead, an Oscar winner).  The point is to display the strength of your campus community and your team’s ingenuity.  Get creative.  Draw the crowd.  You want to win, don’t you? Just keep it real: no nudity, no bigotry.

Submit your video by 11:59pm on March 14th.  Fans get to vote for their favorite video March 15th-March 31st.  On April 1st,  the top five flavorites will be announced, and round two of voting begins (no one said it was an easy climb to the top).

The team with the most votes by April 11th will be lucky enough to have its video featured at the Chicago Improv festival.  What’s more, the #1 stunners will also be able to work with Showbizzle creators Charles Rosin (executive producer/showrunner of Beverly Hills 90210) and Lindsey Rosin (award-winning writer) to create original material for the site.

Come on, peeps.  Make that video and proved to Hollywoodland (and to the higher-ranked colleges) just how funny, clever and talented you are.
