2010 Oscar Nominations were announced today, and I’m feeling not great about the whole thing. 

I didn’t well up with the tears I’ve been saving all year for awards season during the Globes, so I’m nervous that the Oscars will be equally as disappointing.  I want to bawl my eyes out and clap feverishly for winners.  But if they’re going to hand out gold men for films like The Blind Side, then I’m putting on a DVD of 90210.  I love Sandy Bullock as much as the next girl’s girl, but Best Actress? Really?  The movie was good for the family, but worthy of Best Picture?  For Real?  The big speech I’m pulling for is Mo’Nique‘s, who I hope will win Best Supporting Actress.  She was a creature of the deep in Precious.  Ok Hollywood.  Let’s see why they pay you so much.  Make me Cry.

Best part of the night, perhaps?  Co-Hosts Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin.  Not be a total wash, mayhaps?

If Oprah doesn’t show up to the Oscars, I’ll be mad as hell.  She’s been hyping Precious since it opened.
