Someone somewhere was thinking of me and Halie when they created Glee.
“That Rachel chick makes me want to light myself on fire, but she can sing.” -Puck.
Quinn‘s voice isn’t strong enough to sing “Don’t Stop Believing.” Get Rachel to come back. We all think so, even wheelchair guy.
How long is Terri going to keep up this faux pregnancy charade? I’m looking out for Will‘s feelings. Oooh, grasshopper pie sounds amazing right now.
April (guest star Kristin Chenoweth) and Rachel’s performance of “Maybe This Time” blew me away. I just forgot where I was. That was unreal. I feel so inadequate. I can’t breathe. Give me a moment.
It’s amazing what a few vintage issues of Muscle and a nip of grandma’s medicine can do. Kurt has confidence in himself AND confidence in April. We can do it!
Plan Foiled: Guidance counselor Emily smells rubbing alcohol on Kurt and he looks like the grim reaper. He rambled on about Bambi’s mother being shot, then booted on Emily.
Will and April are singing “Alone”. I’ve died and gone to duet heaven. It’s delightful up here. Everyone is singing. Oh, I was just handed a Grammy.
Finn, are you leading Rachel on because you want her back in the glee club? That’s not fair. What’s even more not fair is that Quinn’s baby belongs to Puck, but she’s not being honest with you. So now the pressure is on to provide for a baby that doesn’t even share your DNA. Time to start asking some tough questions.
“I haven’t been totally honest with you, but that’s different from lying.”-Quinn. Wait, what?
Being in the glee club requires sobriety, April. Are you ready to quit cold turkey?
Finn, you’re an ok singer. The voice is a little weak. But you are one akward duck onstage. Do something with those hands.
Take it home, Mercedes. Sing it, sistah!

I have to say, Glee can totally be a bit corny with the teenage drama (but what high school show isn't?!)… I am just constantly impressed with the transisition into each song…it's very "Chicago-esque" and allows for a more theatricle vibe.
Although, I have to say that even though Rachel has an amazing voice (she was in Spring Awakening, I believe), I do wish she would have a bit more expression with her hands and body…not just standing and belting out the tunes.
Oh, and Kristin Chenoweth is the most wonderous of them all. Kudos to Glee for bringing her on- even if it was only one episode.
Whatever, the singing scenes are good.
I'm sorry, but I think I have to disagree. I just can't sit there and listen to the same artificial problems of teenage angst over and over… and over. Yeah, they live in the middle of Ohio, but these people's lives are so BORING.
The first episode of glee I wasn't into that much, but the more and more I watch it the more addicting it is. The show is the definition of corny, but I can definitely see why it's been picked up for a full season.
Single ladies + football = a good laugh. Now I hope this show has a very successful run!
