changing in our makeshift dressing room outside the studio
I had the magical fortune of attending The Bachelorette: After The Final Rose taping last week in LA.  It was a grand old time.  Mr. Mike was kind enough to drive us to Logan and we hopped hopped hopped on a plane to LAX.  Immediately after de-planing, we hopped into a Rav-4 and hauled-ass to Glendale, where the studio is located.  Like the class-acts we were raised to be, the girls and I changed on a side street before making our national debut on tv (waaaay in the back).
It’s true what they say. Â The starlets are tinier in person. Â Melissa was minute and Jillian was such a little peanut. Â Teensie weensie. Â Although after seeing myself through the lens more than once, it’s safe to say my time is best spent on the other side of the camera.
Kipton was even better-looking in person, but I don’t agree with people when they say he should be the next Bachelor. Â He’s adorable, but there’s nothing about him that would make me watch. Â I’m sure there are MILLIONS of you out there who disagreee with me. Â Too bad.
Reid struck me as a bit of a crap weasel. Â I could tell he wanted to say some really snarky things to Jillian because he’s still hurting. Â I wonder what he was going to ask about the fantasy suite. Â What a turd.
I was supposed to be in line to ask Reid a question, but that pre-pubescent whippet wasted good airtime with her silly dating questions. Â I suppose it made for good tv. Wah Wah. Â I had a very dramatic question to ask, btw. Â What was it, you ask? I guess we’ll never know. Â PS-that was me behind her. Â Hi mom!
I didn’t pay much attention to Jillian during the episodes, but my opinion of her went up about 100 points during the taping. Â She seemed like a very genuine person, psyched about her good fortune to be on television and to find a great guy. Â
After the taping ended, my friends and I got to meet Chris Harrison, who then introduced us to Jillian and Ed. Â Ahhh, ladies. Â For those of you on Team Ed, he is more handsome in person and, yes, he is tall. Â Jillian and Ed were both very personable and chatted with us a little bit about our plans for the weekend, etc. Very cool, very normal people and I’m happy for them. Â
Chris Harrison is also a very nice guy and introduced us to the director and creator of The Bachelor/Bachelorette series, Mike Fleiss. Â Mr. Fleiss was also uber-nice and seemed to take an interest in our opinion on the next bachelor. Â I vote Jake. Â Chris Harrison strongly disagreed with me. Â I have no idea why.
Since we weren’t allowed to bring phones/cameras into the studio, I didn’t get to take any of pictures of my super-duper encounters. Â But if you ask nicely, I’ll do an interpretive dance to showcase everything I saw. Â I promise to leave nothing out.
Many franks to the O’Donnell girls for making this happen. Â Joe-I’m sorry I made it the worst vacation of their life. Â Thanks also to American Airline’s Victor for sticking to the rules and not giving Molly a tomato juice because she was too far across the aisle. Â Turbulance is no laughing matter, Molly. Â Also a thanks to Hertz for giving a party of six a five-seater Rav-4. Â Your overwhelming concern for our safety will remain with me always. Â Especially when I’m picking my car up at a better rental agency. Â
